Increases safety and protects against noises, dust and weld spatter

A machine guard/machine protection door screens off a production cell so that the operator can work close to the cell, saving space on the work floor. Patented safety features in the NORDIC 344 doors make sure the work process can not start until the door is fully closed. The door also keeps weld spatter, noise and dust away from the operator.

The doors are quiet, open and close quickly at up to 2,5 m/s, making production run smoothly.

A machine guard door from NORDIC door has a long life and low operating costs. In other words, it is a long-term and cost-effective investment. The door can be fully customized to your requirements and is available as standard in sizes up to 4×4m.

We develop and manufacture the doors inhouse in Halmstad, Sweden, which means that you are close to expertise, quick access to spare parts and know-how for special solutions if needed.

Prevents machine-related work accidents

Increases personal safety – especially when working near automated machinery.

Safe opening/closing

Safety photocell curtain protects the entire door opening touchless when closing.

Locked door panel into the frames

Can only be pushed in a limited distance, why the door can be located closer to the workstation.

Rapid and silent function – up to 2,5 m/s

High-speed machine protection doors with advanced vector control with soft start/soft stop for low noise level.

Safe signal door closed

For maximum safety, the cat. 4 safety switch in the frames provides a safe signal when the door is closed.

Door panel with patented safety

The NORDIC 344-protec and 344-rollback have door panels built up by two layers of mono/multifilament fabric, coated with PVC. The door panel is 2 mm thick and extremely durable. It has a smooth finish, is resistant to most chemicals and even weld spatter. It is also antistatic.

The edges of the door panel have integrated edge holders, preventing the door panel from being pushed out – a patented safety feature.

The door panel, available in a number of different colours, can also be supplied with a 2 mm, seamless welded-in, vison panel, transparent or bronze-eye protective, which is extremely resistant to wear, just like the rest of the door panel.

The standard panels Blue (RAL5007) and grey (RAL7038), have additional carbon fibres woven into the fabric, efficiently leading off any static electricity. Optional colours are: Yellow (RAL1023), Red (RAL3000), Orange (RAL 2004), Anthracite grey (RAL7016), White (RAL9010) and Green (RAL6005).

Operation – fast and reliable

The drive system, NORDIC DRIVE A4.0, consists of a robust worm gear drive and an advanced vector-inverter control with monitored brake function. The worm gear, which is heavily dimensioned, can handle up to 10 openings per minute and has an integrated absolute encoder (battery less). The system as standard meets class 2, PLc, but can optionally be programmed to meet cat2, PLd.

The drive system is as standard built for supply for 1x230V 50Hz, but can optionally be built for supply 3x400V, 50-60Hz.

Opening speed up to 2,5 m/s.
Closing speed up to 1,2 m/s.

The speeds can easily be adjusted from the display. Automatic closing with adjustable time, is easily programmed from the display.

Safety switch – for additional safety

The NORDIC machine protection doors have as standard safety switches integrated in the frames, providing a safe signal (cat 4, PLe) when the door is closed. To allow different stop positions of the door, the position of the switch in the frame can easily be adjusted.

NEW! NORDIC 344-prolock

The NORDIC 344-prolock is a further development to provide additional safety by locking the door mechanically from being opened before the machine behind has come to a complete stop.

This new safety device consists of a safety switch and an actuator, providing a safe signal (cat 4, PLe) when the door is closed. When the door is closed, the actuator is also mechanically locked into the safety switch. (safety: B100: 2 ×10 6 cycles). The door will then remain mechanically locked until a release signal is sent to the switch.
